Once again this year, Málaga took part in the activities celebrating World Environment Day 2017. The motto chosen by the United Nations for this year was "I am with Nature", and called citizens to go out in the streets, in the City or country, in order to appreciate nature's beauty and to connect with it.

This year, the students of the Faculty of Fine Arts of Malaga have joined this celebration with a set of artistic creations selected for this day, together with the awareness activities for Malaga schoolchildren through various workshops and the contest of videocreations.

The works were exhibited in Alcazabilla street in front of the ruins of the Roman Theater and in this way, these young artists have shown their commitment using art and plastic expression as an instrument to mobilize consciences and activate social change. This interesting exhibition allowed the citizens to interact with the young students and share the environmental and artistic motivations that generated their works.

The activities to celebrate World Environment Day have been carried out within the framework of a collaboration between the City of Málaga, the Center for Mediterranean Cooperation of IUCN and EMASA.
