New PEGASO articles just released about indicators and participatory methods

Two wiki articles have recently been uploaded in the PEGASO Wiki. Ann-Katrien Lescrauwaet from the Valaams Instituut voor de Zee (Belgium) wrote down an article about the PEGASO project indicators for integrated coastal zone management (IZCM) in the Mediterranean and Black Seas. She plainly explains how PEGASO partners have identified and refined a suite of indicators to measure the implementation of ICZM policy and programmes.

On the other hand, the team of the University Ca´Foscari of Venice (UNIVE) elaborated an article, reviewed by Plan Bleu and the Priority Actions Programme - Regional Activity Centre(PAP/RAC), about the participatory methods that are being implemented in the PEGASO project.

Active public participation is one of the essential requirement of the IZCM Protocol, thus, its article 14 foreseen the appropriate involvement of all stakeholders in the formulation of strategies, plans and programmes. Under the PEGASO umbrella, the participatory process has been tailored to the context of the CASES, becoming more than just a tool: it is a fundamental pillar of the process. Experts from UNIVE explain the five phases of the participatory process that the development of an ICZM plan follows.

Both articles were published in the wiki and are open to other PEGASO partners edit their content.
