Assessment and prospects of environmental journalism in North Africa | |

![]() Journalists working in the domain of the environment in Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia met in Rabat on the 29-30th June 2012 to discuss and analyze training needs and networking in the region. Mohammed VI Foundation for Environment Protection (FM6E), chaired by HRH the Princess Lalla Hasna, organized in partnership with the IUCN Centre for Mediterranean Cooperation, a meeting bringing together young journalists from North Africa. This meeting comes close the first training session delivered via an e-learning platform, which began in March 2012, under the project "Capacity Building of Young Professionals of Communication in North Africa" in the field of sustainable development, funded by the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID). This distance learning has been provided by qualified communications professionals and supported by a scientific committee of people with sound expertise. More info: sonsoles.sanroman@iucn.org | |
